As part of the Global Innovation team based in our R&D Centre in Kuala Lumpur, your mission will be to design, execute, evaluate and report laboratory and pilot experiments in the field of edible oil refining and modification and the oleochemical applications of oils and fats, including biodiesel and renewable diesel. KEY ACCOUNTABILTIES
- Work on applied research and development projects in the broad field of edible oil refining and modification.
- Be involved in all phases of the R&D project, including preparation of the experimental set-up, the execution of necessary lab/pilot trials and the critical evaluation and reporting of the test results.
- Assist occasionally to audits and on-site trials in industrial plants.
- Represent the R&D team in internal and external meetings with other departments, research institutes and universities and/or clients.
- Work in partnership with the process engineers and the group process specialists
REQUIRED PROFILE
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Demonstrated practical experience working with pilot-scale and semi‑industrial test units.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to critically evaluate experimental results and prepare clear, comprehensive technical reports.
- Proactive, self‑motivated, and able to manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- A collaborative team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
- Willing to travel with short stays abroad.
Preferred Education/Experience
- Master’s degree in Engineering (Applied biological sciences, Food Technology, Chemical)
- Relevant experience in (bio-) chemical process technology is a plus.
