Sales manager
Based in our Bangalore office, your mission will be to understand our customers oil processing needs, design with our engineers and sell the most appropriate plant of a world leader in oils and fats.
Key accountabilities

Engage with new customers through seminars, conferences, and visits; regularly file data in the company CRM.

Meet customers face-to-face to discuss potential investments and generate interest in Desmet solutions; register enquiries in the CRM.

Classify and prepare detailed quotations as per standards, validate technical offers, and coordinate discussions to finalize scope of supply.

Estimate project costs using budgetary offers, coordinate with global teams for import costs, and ensure final checks by the Project Team.

Target and engage customers, understand their needs, provide solutions, resolve objections, and secure agreements and sales.

Conduct technical presentations, negotiate contracts, prepare LOIs, finalize sales contracts, and manage down payments.

Collaborate with the Project Execution team for seamless project handover and follow up on payments to ensure timely equipment and service delivery.

Organize seminars and conferences, update customers on global market news, and build a strong personal brand within the industry.

Collect, collate, and distribute information on competitive activities within the company.

Work with the Process team on technical offers and flow diagrams, coordinate with the Project team for cost estimation and negotiations.

Coordinate with the Finance/Legal team for contract alignments and the Engineering team for special project RFQs.

Assist the Customer Support team in securing spares and service orders and support global marketing initiatives using social media tools.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical) with a post-graduation in Marketing or Management.
- Minimum of 5 years in a manager-level sales position within a project-based industrial sales environment (B2B).
- An inspiring leader who is a decisive thinker, skilled influencer, personally credible, and a role model.
- Expertise in contracting, negotiating, change management, and structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations.
- Proven experience in planning marketing strategies, ad campaigns, and successful public relations efforts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams, manage multiple accounts, and facilitate group meetings.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet project demands.
