The first Sterling 900 Series press, supplied to Groupe Avril in 2019, for their Expur plant in Slobozia, Romania, has now been fully commissioned.
Designed to handle an intake of 850 tonnes per day of sunflower seed and to replace a number of older machines, the press was started up towards the end of 2019 and is now in full production.
Groupe Avril have expressed their delight at the performance, which has exceeded their most optimistic expectations, both in terms of capacity and oil yield.
