Start-up of a full pressing plant
for Cereal Docks Organics in Italy.
We are proud to announce the successful start-up of a full pressing plant, delivered by Desmet, for Cereal Docks Organics in Italy.
Designed for processing organic sunflower seeds, the plant produces filtered organic press oil and high-quality cake with less than 9% residual oil, meeting the highest standards for organic processing.
Installed within an existing building with a constrained footprint and sub-9m roof height, the project demanded a highly compact and optimized layout, without compromising functionality or ease of maintenance. A true showcase of Desmet’s engineering expertise.
From a process perspective, the plant delivers consistent and high oil yields from a high-fiber feedstock, reflecting strong operational performance from day one.
A standout feature of this installation is its single press and cooker configuration, already delivering impressive throughput results. Crucially, the plant is engineered with substantial headroom for growth, designed to scale up as Cereal Docks Organics’ business expands. A true reflection of Desmet’s forward-looking design philosophy.
