Job summary
Your mission will be to manage the Group R&D activities in the broad field of feed milling, oilseed/biomasts preparation and oilseed extraction (mechanical pressing/solvent extraction) in our Innovation Center in Wailly Beaucamp (France)
Key accountabilities
- Lead a small R&D team of R&D engineers and lab operators
- Planning of the research program in function of the internal R&D priorities and the demands of customers
- Assure timely execution of the R&D projects with respect of EHS standards
- Dissemination of test/lab results in high level R&D reports (internally and to customers)
- Planning of the R&D resources
- Represent the Innovation Center in internal and external meetings with other departments, research institutes and universities and/or clients
- Work in partnership with the process engineers and the group specialists.
- The Innovation Center Manager will report directly to the R&D director
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Engineering (Applied biological sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry)
- Preferably some years’ experience in an R&D environment
- Managerial skills needed to fulfil the key accountabilities
- Practical skills to work with pilot and semi-industrial test units
- Strong analytical skills for a critical evaluation and comprehensive reporting of experimental data
- Proactive and self-driven
- Team player with good communication skills
- Fluent in English and English both spoken and written (any other language will be an asset)
- Willing to work on certain projects in the Innovation Center in Belgium (Zaventem)
