The opening of the first FRACT750 plant in the East Coast by FGV Holdings Berhad (FGV) in the Kuantan Port area is expected to boost economic growth for the state.

Yang Berhormat Dato’ Mohamad Nizar bin Dato’ Sri Mohamad Najib, Pahang EXCO of Investment, Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation stated that with the opening of the plant, Pahang expects economic growth to exceed 10.6 percent.

He mentioned that the fractionation plant, which utilizing the 'Desmet iConFract System' technology, can contribute to the state’s industrial development by producing new palm oil-based premium products for the downstream industry.

“This facility reflects FGV's strategic development to meet market demand for premium product offerings such as High IV Olein (IV60-IV65) and Hard Stearin.”

He added, "This new fractionation plant not only allows FGV to explore new fields in specialty fat products but also contributes to the industry's development," speaking after launching the inauguration ceremony of the FRACT750 plant at FGV Refineries Kuantan Oil Products in Kuantan Port today.
